John Robert Buchholz Sr.

A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fulton. Burial will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive guests from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton.

John was born May 22, 1955 in Callaway County to Joseph and Rosie Stevens Buchholz who preceded him in death. He was married on March 31, 1979 in St. Louis, Missouri to Karen Zimmerman who survives.

John will be remembered for his love of family, friends and his buddy, Tytan and for running down the highways in his #9 truck.

He is also survived by daughter, Rachel Buchholz of Columbia; son, Matthew (Bonnie) Buchholz of Fulton; brothers, Bill “Jody” Buchholz, Steve (Donna) Buchholz and Jim (Sherri) Buchholz all of Steedman, Missouri; sisters, Linda (Brian) Cheney of Steedman and Carolyn (Tim) Laurie of Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Eric Young, Jonathan Thompson, Alyssa Buchholz and Ashton Buchholz along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his son, John Robert “Cheeseburger” Buchholz, Jr.
