Born on October 8th, 1941 in Mexico, Missouri, John was the eldest son of William Hadley Fox and Mary Blanche Newsom. He married Karen Jean Fox on December 7th, 1985 and they enjoyed a wonderful 35 years together. John worked as a Batch Operator for Mo-Con, Inc for over 40 years, but also loved spending time with friends and family during his retirement.
John enjoyed going to Karon’s Diner (or as he called it, "the office") to visit and drink coffee with his friends. Known as "Pappy" by his many grandchildren, John loved a good joke and listening to a great story. He also enjoyed going for car rides and bluegrass music concerts with his wife Karen, gardening with his daughter and grandsons, and cooking good BBQ. John liked to play the guitar, but especially loved teaching and listening to his grandsons play, often asking them "is that country music?" with a huge grin. He was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, and friend who loved his family, was always there to help, and will be missed everyday.
Along with his wife, John is survived by sisters Carol Jean Blackwell, Linda Fay Browning, and Melissa Joyce Evans, and brother, Roy Melvin Fox. His brother, Glenn Wayne Fox, preceded him in death.
Also left to mourn his loss are his son John William Fox, Jr (Barbara) of Cape Canaveral, Florida; daughters Julie Kay Edwards-Fox and Shauna Lee Weedon (Jeffery); stepchildren Lenore Harper and D.M. Harper (Christy), all of Fulton; adopted daughter Katelynn Young of the home; grandchildren Jaymie Fox, Taylor D. Fields, Brayden Weedon, Richard Wayne Siegel, Jr., Beau Edwards, Bryce Edwards, all of Fulton, and Jenny Vecellio (Vincent), of Rockledge Florida; great grandchildren Elaina Hedges, Jaxon Smith, Dayton William Fields, of Fulton, Aleksa Fox of Cape Canaveral, Florida, Adalynn Vecellio of Rockledge, Florida; step grandchildren William Jacob Harper, Evan D.
