LaRae Mae Clark

LaRae was born on March 9, 1937, near Wisner, NE the daughter of Lawerence and Katherine (Niewohner) Wolken who preceded her in death. On July 2, 1984, she was united in marriage in Miami, OK to James Clark who preceded her in death on November 15, 2015. She worked as a registered nurse at Fulton State Hospital for several years, before her retirement. LaRae earned her master’s in nursing, going on to not only become a nurse but an educator and supervisor. After retirement, Larae and James spent many years traveling throughout the central and western states in their 5th wheel. She was also a master gardener, nurturing her flowers and spending time outdoors was a favorite pastime. LaRae also enjoyed reading and taking rides through the countryside.

However, family was LaRae's greatest pleasure. She treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They made endless memories together that will be cherished and talked about for many years to come.

LaRae was a faithful member of St Peter’s Parish in Fulton, MO, where she helped out on various committees and functions. She was also a CCD instructor for many years and a communion minister.

Survivors include: one daughter, Anita Ward of Fulton, MO; one sister, Judy Sheets (James) of Fulton, MO; three grandchildren, Adam Ward, Amanda Ward and Sierra Ward (Cameron McKinney); two great-granddaughters, Aubree Ward and Adilynn McKinney; four step-sons, James Clark Jr, Jon Clark, Donald Clark (Polly) and Cecil Clark III; two step-daughters, Patty Clark and Anita Elliott; 9 step grandchildren, Salvatore DiLuvio, Levi Morris, Tiffany Burts, Christopher Morris, Krissie Duncan, Elizabeth Heeter, Janie Bailey, Lance Clark and Earlisha Mathis; 19 step great- grandchildren; niece, Penny Marshall and special friends, Chuck McKee and Bernice Evans.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 9:00 am – 10:00 am at St Peters Parish in Fulton, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church at 10:00 am with Fr. Alexander Gabriel officiating.

Burial will be in Auxvasse Cemetery in Auxvasse, MO.
