

Norma was born on March 12, 1930, in Fulton, MO the daughter of Glenwood and Eva Lena (Thompson) Curtis, who preceded her in death. For several years, she worked alongside her son, Rusty, at Rusty’s Bakery in Fulton, cooking, baking, and keeping the business. She enjoyed life to the fullest when she was surrounded by her family and friends. Norma dedicated her life to caring for others and was an outstanding caregiver. Her most significant role was homemaker. She proudly raised her three children and took pride in the grandmother role. Although family was important, so was being a devout Christian, leaving a lasting impression on all those she was close to. In her spare time, Norma also enjoyed bird watching, BBQing chicken, making chocolate chip zucchini cookies for the grandchildren, gardening and cooking for big family holiday meals. Her chocolate pie was the cherry on top of every holiday meal!
Survivors include: two daughters, Gloria Gudahl (Greg) of Camdenton, MO and Sara VanNorman of Fulton, MO; five grandchildren, Caleb, Matt, Gus, Adam and Jake and 12 great-grandchildren, Luke, Trinity, Grace, Denise, Kandon, Malarie, Quentin, Lily, Kelci, Cooper, Brooklyn and Kynslee. She was also preceded in death by her son, James Russell “Rusty” Scheley and one sister, Betty Louise Trotter.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
