Robert Ray Brooks Jr.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Ham’s Prairie Christian Church.

Robert was born July 27, 1961 in Texas to Robert and Joann Tiner Brooks, Sr. He was married to Joni Brown on October 24, 1987 in Fulton.

Robert served in the U.S. Navy and earned two Bachelor’s Degrees from Columbia College. He was a member of Ham’s Prairie Christian Church and he loved to listen to music and play his guitar.

Robert was a proud veteran, loving husband, father and grandfather. He was loved unconditionally by everyone that knew him. He was a hard worker and was a wonderful man who took care of his family. He will be forever missed and he will always be remembered by his smile, jokes, stories and his enormous heart.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Joni of Fulton; daughter, Jericka Brooks and husband, Steven Watlington of Fulton; son, Jared Brooks of Fulton; two grandchildren, Hayden Watlington and Steven Watlington, Jr. both of Fulton; mother, Joann McCuistion; sister, Teri Joe and husband, Jerry McLin along with nieces and nephews in Texas.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ray Brooks, Sr. and grandmother, Annie K. Benson.

He will be dearly missed by all. We love you Daddy! Fly high and watch over all of us.
