Robert LeRoy Cole

Robert was born on December 7, 1958 in St Louis, MO the son of LeRoy and Barbara (Keller) Cole. He was united in marriage on June 9, 1995 in Columbia, MO to Pasty Lee.

Robert retired in 2021 from Columbia Public Schools after a dedicated career as a locksmith. Yet, it was his love of music that truly defined him. A gifted artist and singer, Robert had the rare ability to pick up nearly any instrument and bring it to life. He found joy in sharing his music, whether on stage, at a last-minute gig, or simply with those he loved. He performed alongside his brother in their band, the Cole Brothers, and also with his beloved wife, Patsy, at Good Time Country—creating not just music, but memories that will live on forever.

Survivors include: his wife, Patsy Cole of the home; one son, Justin Cole (Dacia) of Columbia, MO; his mother, Barbara Cole of Columbia, MO; two brothers, Keith Cole (Renna) of Hartsburg, MO and Travis Cole (Tara) of Columbia, MO; one sister, Maria Curry (Dale) of Gladstone, MO; two grandchildren, Victoria and Franklin and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Cole.

Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Nashville Baptist Church, Ashland, MO at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jim Bender officiating.
