Robert “Bobby” Eugene Richmond, 72, born July 20, 1946 in Fulton, Missouri to the late Paul Richmond and Patty (Johnson) Richmond, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2019 at the Fulton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
“Bobby” attended Fulton Public Schools. He moved to Jefferson City, Missouri where he was employed as a Mail Clerk at the Jefferson Building with State of Missouri for over twenty years, in addition to being a Security Guard for the Missouri Department of Corrections for several years. He was a member of Oak Chapel Baptist Church, Guthrie, MO.
He grew up being attracted to non-traditional sporting activities. Not only was he a hunter and fisherman, he taught himself to ice skate and develop archery skills. He also raised rabbits and enjoyed making model air planes and cars. Later in life he became interested in setting up aquariums, salt and freshwater. His passion for Homing Pigeons spans up until his inability to care for his birds.
“Bobby” is survived by three sons, Robert Richmond (Troy), Jacksonville, NC, William “Carrie” Richmond (Misti) Jefferson City, MO, and Jarrett Richmond. Jefferson City. MO There are sixteen grand children: Alicia Grant, Jacque Grant, Elijah Richmond, Robert Richmond Jr., Taylor Alexis, Linda Richmond, Jordan Richmond, William C. Richmond, Eric Hardge, Kendra Richmond, Kris Wilson, Leah Anthony, Shelby Brown, Malcolm J. Richmond, Syann M. Richmond, and Adrian J. Richmond. As well as seven great-grand children: Ava Richmond, William Richmond, Miya Hardge, Jayden Anthony, Shia Anthony, Samari Nala Mary Richmond and Elianna Mae Richmond.
He will forever be remembered by his three brothers, Arthur Lynn (Trudy) Fulton, MO, Dorris (Cheryl) Gig Harbor, WA, Alonzo (Lonnie) Richmond (Ann) Fulton, MO and four sisters: Bonita Law (Clyde}, Frederick, MD, Sherrie Richmond-Jackson, Kansas City, MO, Ruby Gardiner (Lance) Bentwood, TN and Linda May (Lynn) Lee’s Summit, MO. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends,
He is also preceded in death by an infant brother, Bernard as well as both paternal and maternal grandparents.
