I'm not sure if it's unfortunate or fortunate that I don't have a memory of Sam to share. I think the pain would be too great if I had a memory to share of this young man.

Paul and Cathy, it's hard to know what to say. We have many memories together from so long ago. Just know that the time and distance have not taken away from the friendship and heartache that my family and I feel for you and your family at Sam's untimely passing.

I know you will, but please take care of yourselves and each other as you cope with the loss of your Sam.

Your friend,

I remember when Sam was friends with my grandson Joshua. Other kids weren't always nice to Josh but Sam was a friend. He even told me once that Josh fell in a frozen pond & Sam pulled him out to safety. I cared for Sam & saw the sweetness & love he had in his heart for others. My prayers are with Paul, Cathy & family. We are so sorry. We look forward to seeing him some day in heaven!

I didn’t know sam that well. I just know he was a great guy. I met him a couple times and hung out with him. I legit just saw him four days ago at the fastlane I work at I was giving him a hard time saying “I’m not turning your pump on. Not unless you come in here and talk to me” he finally came in. We had a short conversation. I liked his motorcycle he had. I know he was loved by many and is always going to be loved. Your a good man sam.

Sam was my best friend. Out of all the friends I had, he hung by me through all of them. When I needed a shoulder to cry on or vent he was there. I watched him grow and develop into this strong man who didn't care what people thought of him. He was in such a happy place. He had a solid girlfriend, great new friends, and his motorcycle. He was my #1 fan, my brother. I love you
