Steven Frederick Foster

Steven was born on February 12, 1950, in Carthage, NY the son of James and Dorothy (Perrigo) Foster who preceded him in death. On June 10, 1972, he was united in marriage to Cheryl Robinson in Oakland, CA. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1968-1971. He worked at ABB for over 30 years, before retiring in 2010. Steve was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting and fishing but also loved a good game of cards. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. However, his greatest passion was being a grandpa and spoiling his grandchildren any chance he got. Family vacations with the grandchildren were some of Steve’s fondest memories. The trips he took with them will leave a lasting memory with each of them. If they were not traveling, he was following each and every one of them to one of their activities or sports functions with a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include: his wife of 53 years, Cheryl Foster of the home; two daughters, Tanya Boyer of Lebanon, MO and Mandy Logan (Travis) of Fulton, MO; two sons, Jesse Foster of Mokane, MO and Woodrow Foster of Fulton, MO; 13 grandchildren, Brittany, Kaliegh, Devon, Autumn, Shawn (Amber), Katelyn (Shawn), Kelsey, Kassidy (Logan), Chance, Ethan, Woodrow, Carly and Kingston; 12 great grandchildren, Achilles, Guias, Cayden, Emersyn, Nathan, Tuff, Mia, Lillie, Lyla, Lucas, Bailey and Chase and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Christina Foster; one brother, Ted Foster and stepfather, Kenneth Covey.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Debo Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with full military honors at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Crowson officiating. Private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Steedman Cemetery, Steedman, MO.
