He was born on March 10, 1966, in Fulton, MO, the son of Raymond Jr and Anna Lee (Dunavant) Newman, who preceded him in death.
Lance took great pride in his work as an Aide at Fulton State Hospital, a job he held with dedication and a genuine sense of joy. He was passionate about his Harley Davidson and would ride every chance he got. Lance was a music lover and enjoyed going to concerts. You would often find him listening to music, drinking and smoking, where his music could be heard throughout the neighborhood. He was an avid outdoorsman and would spend countless hours in the creeks and rivers searching for arrowheads of all kinds. Lance was always up to BBQ for his family and friends and enjoyed a good milkshake or Heath bar. He had a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. More than anything, Lance loved his family deeply, especially his two girls, granddaughter, Ms. Kitty and grand dogs, Chicken Shoeshine and Sugar Shoes. His sharp sense of humor brought his storytelling to life, often leaving those around him laughing. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his two daughters, Taylor Newman and Lyndsey Newman (Dalton Stone); one granddaughter, Ava Shireman; three brothers, Jeff “Jelly” Newman (Marlo), Charlie Clark (Sarah Alberts) and Larry Clark (Melody); two nephews, Matthew Clark and Joshua Newman; five nieces, Shannon Walters, Hilary DeMarco, Kristen Murray, Ashton Gaboury and Hannah Mealy; and numerous special friends. In addition to his parents, Lance was preceded in death by his half-brother, Charlie Ray Newman.
