Susanna Mae Maddox

Susanna Mae Maddox, 82, of Fulton, Missouri passed away on March 13, 2019 at Fulton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. The family will receive guests from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Sue was born on April 6, 1936 in Bridgeport, Illinois to the late Raymond and Nellie Nettleton Murry. She was married to Oscar Maddox on November 15, 1959 in Olney, Illinois and he survives. She was a 1954 graduate of Richland County High School in Olney, Illinois and she was a member of Reform Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and played the piano. Sue was very good at sewing and she made clothes for her children when they were young. She also enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping and making quilts for her grandchildren. She is survived by one son, Homer (Deanna) Maddox; four daughters, Susanna (Kevin) Cordell, Christina (Kevin) Hamilton, Twilla (Michael) Gerling and Carol (Kelly) Choate; four brothers, Harold, Donald, Glen and Kenneth Murry; one sister, Virginia Wigall; sixteen grandchildren, Mallory Ainsworth, Rachael Hatfield, Danielle Miloro, Kyle Maddox, Caleb Propst, Kara Boyle, Kayla Brooksher, Karen Parker, Charlene Hoke, Derrick Hamilton, Michael Gerling, Jr., Joshua Gerling, Aaron Gerling, Brandon Jaegers, Brooke Loethen and Brett Choate; twenty seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members. Sue was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Steve Murry and two sisters, Elizabeth Nestleroad and Opal Murry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Reform Baptist Church in care of Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, Missouri 65251.

    Sue was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Ray and Steve Murry and two sisters, Elizabeth Nestleroad and Opal Murry.
