Can’t believe you are gone Aunty! Can remember your lovely smile and your gentle spirit as I grew up as a teen. I know God’s got you in a warm embrace, I know you are twirling before the Father, in joy undescribable, I know you are safe in His hands. Dance, till we meet to part no more Auntie, at the feet of Him who holds all in His palm. 

'Mummy Femo' as I used to fondly call you, I could imagine your voice calling me 'Iya Ayemo.' You were a great friend, a professional colleague, and a next-house neighbor back in Sagamu, Nigeria during our early marital years. You were a committed wife, a dedicated Christian, and you practiced nursing with passion.

You have conquered death, glory be to God. May the Almighty God direct the paths of your children and be their guide in life. May God comfort and console the entire family.

 A Tribute To Taiwo Ojelabi: A Woman Of Inestimable Value

I meet Taiwo in 2012 when we were both on an World Bank assisted programme to the government of Sierra Leone at the Njala University, Bo campus.
She was a remarkable woman, God fearing, prayerful and a dedicated Christian. Since I met here till her demise she was a loving friend and good aburo to me. To most people, it seemed as if we knew ourselves forever.
She was a good mother to her children and a loving an dedicated wife to her husband. She always put other people into consideration before herself.
We cannot question God, but one thing I know is that He loves you and He has taken you to a better place, a place of Joy, Peace and Everlasting life. My consolation is In this hymn:
“The strife is o’er, the battle done; 
the victory of life is won; 
the song of triumph has begun.
 Alleluia!”

I was hoping for a miracle but God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not meant to be. So he put his arms around you, and whispered come with me. The last time we saw you said and I quote "DEATH IS NOT MY PORTION" and we said Amen. Maamamia,  as I fondly call you it's no more news you are with the saints in heaven rejoicing. It's 7days now and you've gone to the great beyond, I wished God could give you 100years more. Iya oninure, my advicer, my tutor, my mentor, my confidant, my friend, my boss, my love. It's true good people don't last. Today, I celebrate you because you epitomizes leadership, your life reflects a heart of service and commitment to faith, family, friends and your profession. Without mincing words, nursing profession has lost a great leader, the world has lost a rare GEM. Thank you for being the friendly and open-minded  boss that you are. I feel very grateful to God that we met, the valuable skills I've learned from you over the years has given me the knowledge and has helped to build confidence in my abilities. You encouraged me never to give up on my dreams. I promise to continue doing my best at all time. Thank you for believing in me mum. You are one in a million, your type is rare.  I love u maami and I will continue to love you. Only if our tears could bring you back sure you would have woken up.. I am broken because I won't see you again. It's a pity your golden heart stopped beating and your hard working at rest. Thanks for all you've done for NURSING, FRIENDS, FAMILY, STRANGERS, PATIENTS and EVERYONE who came in contact with you, you are an ocean everyone scoops from, large enough to sustain. Mama!!! Haaaaaaaa iku dooro. You left a very big vacuum that no one can replace, iya oninure, iya alanu, iya ni wura, mother of many generation, daughter of Zion, mother in Israel, boss of all bosses. TRIBUTE TO A SISTER FROM ANOTHER MOTHER.                      


Taiwo, you were an epitome of kindness, gentleness, selflessness, hardwork and humility. A quintessential nurse; you crossed many oceans and nations to practice your beloved profession. On many trips, you brought "goods" from afar, that you distributed to both the rich and the poor confiming your generosity. 


Your impacts within the Church, your families and neighborhoods show that you were  a genuine disciple of Christ - a Dorcas. Though your exit is painful to us, we know that just like our "CD Olan" and other Saints Triumphants, you have joined the twenty four elders (mentioned in the book of Revelations) to worship our Lord face to face. 


We pray our Lord Jesus to grant your gentle and generous soul, eternal rest in His glory. Amen.

 I remember auntie Taiwo very fondly, my God, she went home too soon.She was a lovely and very helpful auntie, I just cant forget her help and support  when I returned to work following the birth of my very premature daughter some 25 years ago. Ha auntie, you left too soon o. Praying that God will console and  comfort the family and friends you left behind. Till we meet at Jesus' feet,  rest on auntie daada.

Your death came as a shock to me.

Mrs. Taiwo Ojelabi!  A vibrant and a strong woman, true to herself.  Your cheerful and strong personality instantly connected us.   Some people come into our lives and quickly go.  I thank God for the privilege of knowing you.  Although there are many unanswered questions,  Jehovah knows and sees the big picture.  God is bigger than all our questions!   
You're gone too soon Mrs. Ojelabi!  Your life was a blessing to everyone around you and your memory a treasure.  You'll surely be missed by your family and friends.  Rest on in the arms of Jesus!

I met Tt as i call her and she in turn calls me Olly ,at the Nurse Tutorial  Class at ogun state polytechnic 1986
She was a very strong  and relieable woman. When she relocated she inform me  and at times we say hi and she always post prayers on face book .she always leave comments on of my pic.

The first thing that came to mind about you is, strength. A very hardworking and caring woman you are. I remember how easily you’d allow people into your homes, in terms of we your children friends and how much you’d want to pass on good advice to us whenever we visited your place. It’s easy to see through how good you always meant for others. You did the best job raising good men and you had the complement in a husband as he’s a super nice man with a large heart. I’m sure you left the world fulfilled and in the best hands. Sleep easy and don’t worry. May God find the best resting place for you. Amen.

Mummy for the boys, as we always regarded you. You were truly a special one, a refined breed, an epitome of selflessness. I can’t overstate how caring and giving you were. Many times we’d tag along to come over to yours, because we knew you’d ask if we wanted anything and automatically feed us. You didn’t take us just as friends and colleagues of your son, but more like your children.

 Your admonitions to be responsible men often made us laugh and definitely stuck. You had an uncanny  ability to give the most candid talks in the softest ways possible that often had the most desirable impacts. 

You were there for us as children and even more so as adults. I remember with a smile how you’d pack food for grown men that we were and bring to the hospital for us during our internship year, and somehow pick the moment we were feasting to give one or two candid talks about responsibility.

To say your demise saddens me, is probably the biggest understatement possible, but I am consoled by the kind of life you lived because, a long life might not be good enough, but a good life is certainly long enough.

Rest on in the eternal riches of the heavenlies - mama for them boys


My sweet mother, a woman of substance, a leader per excellence, a warrior, a cheerful giver, caring and loving.  Where do I start from........................ Oh death where is your sting. I remember vividly the day you knew I was from your home town and we were bearing the same name. I became your adopted daughter immediately. You never treated anyone under you as a colleague but rather you took everyone of us as your sons and daughters. You corrected us in love, taught us core discipline. You will wake up by 4am to cook for us, I can't forget your efo riro in a rush nor days when you'll call and say taye I know you wont go to the market, what should I cook for you tomorrow.  Oh my wonderful mummy. So many memories!The morals you imbibed into me has taken me where I am today.  I'm grateful to God that he lead me to meet you. 
The way you call me 'taye' I'm training you to be better than me keeps ringing in my hears. And I promise to always make you proud. 
Continue to rest in the bossom of the lord my dearest mother and boss. Till we meet to part no more. You live on forever in our heart and we love you so much.

I still cant believe that you are gone too soon. Who am I to question God but I know without a shadow of doubt that you are with the maker of heaven and earth. I will miss you so much . My dearest Mummy,
One of the things that i remember about you was how you brought life into every room you walked in.
You were ever so vibrant, so cheerful and so full of jokes and laughter.
Your life modelled independence. Yoyr life modelled strenght and i am blessed to have met, known and loved you.

I will miss you dearly. I love you.

A loving, caring and strict aunty. I had the opportunity of staying at hers for my clinical posting in Sagamu. She was very helpful and supportive and even though she is my aunt, she wouldn't hesitate to set me straight if she needed to. The testimonies from all her colleagues was that she was a conscientious Nurse, one per excellence!!!
I am happy I saw you, you wouldn't know the consolation I got and continue to get from that.
You were here, you fought the good fight and now you are resting in your creator's bossom.
God bless and keep my Uncle and the boys.

Words cant describe how painful and how bitter this is...

Taiyelolumi like il always call u, I miss u so much. I can't even explain the feeling
 The memorable moments we shared is something am going to hold on to.
I wasnt just your son.
We had more than that. 

You were my strength, my motivation, my peace, my smile, my happiness, my tears.
You are my everything.

Theres absolutely nothing I wouldnt have done for you..

I remember our jokes, the laughter, the pain, the tears, the talks and our fights.
I was super fond of you and you will always be my number 1 fan..

I call u my baby, you call me baby too..
That was just an illustration of the bond between a baby and his mother.

Nothing and no one means the world to me.
You are my world.
The reason for my smile!

You sacrificed so much for us all, you are a mother, a giver, a teacher.
You gave yourself to all without expecting much in return.

They say time heal all wounds, il prefer not to heal.
I want to live , endure and cope with this wound.

I remember that moment you had the transition, I remember rushing to get my stethoscope to pick the expected "lub..dup" heart sound.

I remember what I heard and at that moment, all i could do was to hold your hand and sink in fear and sorrow.
That moment I wish I wasnt born, I wish I hadn't existed.

I never wanted a day like that for u at least not now but right there, you were in my arms.

I could stil feel your love.

Theres no point telling you I love you or how much I do.
I know if you had to come back just for one reason, you would come back to see me smile.

I promise to uphold all your virtues, u are indeed a GENERAL

Nothing would take you away from me not even death.
