Virgil was born on December 20, 1935, in Tebbetts, MO the son of Lawrence and Regina (Groner) Kroll who preceded him in death. He was united in marriage on October 25, 1960, in Frankfort, SD to Dixie Winters. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1958 – 1960.
Virgil was a hard worker and a man of faith. He was a member of the St Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Mokane, MO. After serving in the Army, he came home and started farming on the family farm, which led to a life-long dedicated career of farming. He cherished the land and enjoyed visiting with all the neighbors as he would come and go to check on his crops. Often, you would see his dog riding along with him in the truck or tractor. He was a dedicated husband, brother, uncle and friend.
Survivors include: his wife of 65 years, Dixie Kroll of the home; two sisters, Laverne Eveler (Mark) of Wardsville, MO and Pat Licher of Montrose, MO; sister-in-law, Dorothy Kroll and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry Kroll (Maurine), Tony Kroll and Linus Kroll and his brother-in-law, Jim Licher.
