My sister, Betty Oetting, and I met Wanda in March 2016 when we first started playing pickleball at Shikles in Jefferson City.  Wanda was quite a pickleball player and always enjoyed herself.  Even though she struggled  at times with her leg muscles and breathing,  she was tough and persevered.   Wanda spoke many times of her family and the love she had for them. She will definitely be missed on the pickleball courts but we do have lots of fun memories to treasure. It came as such a shock when we heard of her passing and have found it hard to comprehend that we will not see her on the courts again.  Her family has our deepest sympathy during this difficult time.



Many great memories with you playing pickleball at Shikles and then at the Linc.  Many people do not know this , but you have been playing pickleball for 6 years and developed a wicked serve!
I will always remember your "chicken dance strut" when you made a good shot in pickleball.  You were always so much fun and  you liked to laugh!  You will be missed a lot by me.  I will miss you always conferencing with me about the pickleball rules.  I really enjoyed playing with you all these years and considered you a good friend!

I'd like to extend my sincere sympathy to Wanda's family.   I worked along side Wanda for many years at the Lottery.  She was very dedicated, smart and hard working.   
She would often talk about Robbie and Jake and how much she  loved spoiling Jake when he was little!  I just saw her at the post office about five or six weeks ago and it was good to see her smile and catch up for just a minute.  She will be missed.  
May God hold you close at this difficult time.  

Wanda played such a big role in our lives for over six years. My son still calls her Grandma Wanda to this day. We hold close to our hearts all the wonderful memories we made and are truly blessed to have known such an amazing lady.

Thoughts and prayers to Wanda's family.  I worked with her for years at the Lottery.  She was the testing guru for virtually all new programs.  If it passed her test, simply, it worked.  More than that were the conversations about family, sports and the world in general.  She will be missed.  

Met Wanda playing pickleball.  We were the first group playing in Jefferson City and at the old Shikles gym.  She was fun to play with. I would many times call her "Wanda the Wicked" in jest.  When playing together she would refer to me as "Donnie Boy".  Can't even imagine how many times I played either with her or against her.  She had a unique style of play.  I am definitely going to miss her.  

I was in Chicago several years ago at a workers’ compensation conference. As I was leaving there was Wanda at a conference on the next floor. What’s the chance we would meet up in Chicago.  The family is in my thoughts and prayers. God bless.

Wanda  had such a great sense of humor! We were classmates & I  never saw her often since graduation.  But whenever we'd meet, we always would share a laugh.  Prayers for the family!

Our love and prayers go out to Rob & Jake and all of Wanda's family.  She was always fun to be around as we shared a grandson, Jake. She always included Suzanne and treated her as one of the family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  Rest in Peace Wanda... 


My thoughts and prayers are with Wanda's family. I remember when she lived across the street from us. She was always laughing and was a lot of fun. I have not seen her for a long time but I will miss her. Robbie, my heart goes out to you.

Wanda was a lovely women who my son was lucky enough to call Grandma Wanda. 
She was a hard worker and super smart in everything she did.  She loved her family more than anything and would do anything for any of them including me. She always made me feel like part of the family and for that I am forever thankful. 
My son is left with great memories and he will carry a little piece of you with him forever.

I didn't know Wanda long, but i considered her a great friend.  I met her at The Linc playing pickleball (Most times, she played twice a week).  She was always helpful and fun to play with.  Her serve was hard to conquer.  We had an inside joke about never winning when we were teammates.  I enjoyed her energy and her talks about her family, especially her 94 year mother.  My deepest sympathy to her family.  I will miss her!

Robbie, I am sorry for the loss of your mother. I have precious memories of knowing your mother and babysitting for you.

We were classmates and graduated from FHS in 1970. As teenagers, we ran around & had a lot of fun times making memories. She was the only friend I had who could do a flip in the air & land on her feet every time. Rest in peace, Wanda. God speed...... our thoughts & prayers are with her family.
