
William Clarence “Chauncey” Potter, 54, of Fulton, Missouri passed away on September 29, 2015.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Heartland Church of the Nazarene in Fulton. A gathering for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
Chauncey was born May 23, 1961 in Emporia, Kansas to William and Cecile Graham Potter and they preceded him in death. He was married to Cheryl Ross on June 22, 1992 in Fulton and she survives.
He attended North Heights High School in Allen, Kansas and began his career as a truck driver when he turned 18 years old. He was a 3rd generation dirt track racer and he was known to be a great mechanic.
Chauncey was an active member and sponsor in A.A.N.A. He had a great sense of humor and he enjoyed fishing, bar-b-cuing and spending time with his family and friends.
He is also survived by daughter, April Detienne of Fulton; sons, Greg (Mandy) Detienne, Joey (Jessica) Potter and Bradley (Judy) Potter all of Fulton; brother, Brian (Christy) Potter of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Samie Benedict, Fauntella Crumble, Kayla Detienne, Austin Detienne, Austin Bulson, Tommy Koppinger, Eric Koppinger, Seth Ward, Kaila Potter, Ashley Potter, Tyler Potter, Hailee Potter, Brianna Stone, Jacob Potter, Curtis Potter, William Potter, Caleb Potter and Payton Potter; aunts; Joyce Buckridge and Donna Potter; uncles, Dan Potter, Rick Potter and Jack Potter along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by brother, Brad Potter; sister,Julie Potter; aunt, Marla Fulkerson and uncle, Les Potter.
