Adalia Moore Browning

Adalia Browning, nee’ Moore, age 80, of Rainbow City passed on April 13, 2018. Service will be held on Monday April 16, at 1pm at Collier Butler Chapel with interment at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11 am until 1pm. Rev. Dave Roberts will officiate with Eulogy by Claire Hamilton. Collier Butler Funeral Home will direct services.

Adalia is preceded in death by her mother Lillie Belle (Pat) Moore and father Ross Moore; sisters Faye Hamilton and Jimmie Neal Tedder.

She is survived by her sons Kerry Darrell Browning and Kenny David (Kayla) Browning; grandsons Sloan and Cooper Browning; sister Jackie Carmack; brother in law Whaley Tedder; Several nieces and nephews; dear friend Edith Bush; and longtime caregiver Brenda Livingston.

Adalia was a farm girl who learned excellent work ethics early in life. She enjoyed the outdoors and her beautiful flowers. Adalia graduated from Ashville High School and received her BS degree from Jacksonville State. She taught for 33 years in Attalla City and Etowah County schools and retired from Glencoe Middle School. She was a member of White Springs Baptist Church. Prior to becoming homebound, she was a member of the Joyful Sunday School Class.
