

Alice Faye Jenkins, age 70, of Gadsden, AL went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 8, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, in the Collier-Butler Chapel. Brother Stanley Naylor will officiate. Burial will follow at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Ashville, AL. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will accept friends from 9:30AM until the hour of the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Alice was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. Above all of the titles that she wore, her favorite was child of God. Alice was a longtime member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She served the Lord faithfully and is finally in his presence. Alice was a graduate of Gaston High School. She enjoyed traveling to the Smoky Mountains' of Tennessee with her husband Tommy and daughter April. She also enjoyed the occasional trips she would take with her sisters and April. Alice had a beautiful heart. She lived the life of a Proverbs 31 women. Words cannot describe how much she will be missed!
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Allen Sr. and Rosa Lee Williams; and sister, Mary Burks.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Jenkins; daughter, April Jenkins; sons, Wade Suggs, and James (Karen) Suggs, son, Bryan Carroll; grandson, Eli Suggs; chosen son, Cody "CoCo" Neely; brothers, Fred Allen Jr. and John Williams; sister, Sharon (MC) Jones; brother-in-law, Hoyt Burks; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Wade Suggs, James Suggs, Lamar Tosh, Cody Neely, Anthony Neely, and Patrick Jones.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the ER staff of Gadsden Regional Medical Center for their exceptional care and kindness.
When you get to Heaven, look for Alice at the feet of Jesus.
