Amber Lynn Bates

Amber was born December 7, 1979 to Johnny Bates and Cynthia Duncan. She resided in Attalla her whole life. She had a huge heart for family and loved fostering dogs. Her own dog, Bailey, was her constant companion. She was loved by everyone who met her.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill & Dawn Harrison.

She is survived by her son, Mason Duncan; mother, Cindy Duncan; father, Johnny Bates; stepmother, Rhonda Brothers; brother, Heath Quinn; sisters, Charity McAdams, Brandy Bates, Tasha Bates, and Cassandra Cote; niece, Shelby Galloway; nephews, Christopher and Nicholas McAdams; aunts, Marion Thrasher and Gale Burns; uncles, John Harrison and Chuck Burns; cousins, Josh and Stephanie Spurlin, Seth, Bradley, and Ethan Gray, and Kyle Dawson; and special family, Albert Geringer and Carolyn Pence.

A visitation will be held at Collier Butler Funeral Home on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 3 o'clock pm to 6 o'clock pm for family & friends.
