I met Ray when I came to work in the Etowah County Schools in the early 70’s. He was a good school man and always seemed to be having a good day. He was very positive and encouraging to me as I worked in Special Education in both Etowah County and Gadsden City. My thoughts and prayers are with Martha and the family as they mourn the loss of a truly exceptional man. I am sure Ray is in the Roll Tide area of Heaven and will enjoy watching Alabama play next fall!
