Arlon Rowan Yates

Arlon R. Yates, 80, of Rainbow City, AL, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ernest Dorries officiating. He will be laid to rest at Rainbow Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Yates retired after 38 years with Hanger Cleaner Company. He was a avid Alabama Fan. Arlon was known for being a selfless person. He loved fully and will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Seb and Lucille Yates; brothers, Dee, Noodie and Waldo Yates; and sisters, Ruby Willbanks and Monie Dorries.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Roanna (David) Baugh; sons, Arlon E. (Stefanie) Yates and Tim Yates; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tim and Jerry Yates, Jimmy Kitchens, David Baugh, and Verlyn and Scott McCurdy.

Honorary pallbearer will be Jeff Yates.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Southern Care Hospice.

Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
