Funeral services for Mr. Arnold Davis Vinyard, 96, of Gadsden will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2016, at Collier-Butler Chapel. Rev. Michael Hengle will officiate with burial to follow at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Mr. Vinyard passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at his home.
He was a Veteran of WWII, serving in the 167th Infantry 31st Division. Mr. Vinyard was inducted into the Patriots Hall of Honor on November 7, 2016.
Mr. Vinyard was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Davey L. Vinyard.
Mr. Vinyard is survived by his sons, David Vinyard (Mary), Michael Vinyard, John Vinyard; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and the American Lung Foundation.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
