Barbara Strickland, of Gadsden, Alabama, passed away peacefully on June 17th 2026, at the age of 77.
Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and devotion to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Strickland. Barbara was one of five siblings and is survived by her sister, Mae Nichols.
She is survived by her sons, Reggie Powell (Charlene) and Joseph Powell; Five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Service arrangements are currently being planned. Family and friends will be notified once arrangements have been finalized.
The family appreciates the thoughts and prayers of all who knew and loved Barbara. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
