Barney Holt Leach
May 1, 1944 – May 8, 2022

Barney Holt Leach, 78, of Gadsden, Alabama entered his Heavenly home on May 8, 2022.
Mr. Leach was born on May 1, 1944 to the late Thurman “Holt” & Madiee Leach. He was a 1962 graduate of Gadsden High School. Barney attended Auburn University where he studied Business and was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity. While attending Auburn University he meet his wife of 58 years and they relocated to Gadsden, Alabama. He then became owner and president of Leach Manufacturing Company. Barney served on numerous organizations within the community throughout his life. In the later years of his life, Barney’s greatest joy were his grandchildren and being able to participate in their accomplishments. He was blessed with many lifelong friends.
Barney is survived by his wife, Betty Leach; children, Mandy (Snooky) Burgess, Cindi (Vince) Gahafer, Dr. Andrew (Courtnay) Leach; grandchildren, Hannah and Holt Keeling, Claire Graves, Holt, William and Taylor Leach.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Leach is preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Duncan.
The celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, May 13, 2022 at Collier Butler Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial visitation will be held prior to the service and begin at 11:00 am. The service will be led by Rev. Curtis Scott.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Amedysis Hospice and very special caregiver, Angela Hindman for all of her love and kindness the past few months.
