Benny Floyd Graham

Benny F. Graham, of Huntsville, AL, formerly of Gadsden, died February 8, 2013 at the age of 58. Benny is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Buford Graham. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Ross Graham; daughter, Julie Graham; sister, Pam Graham Gowens (Tommy); and nieces Meredith Gowens-Pelissier (Jeremy) and Allison Gowens; and Oliver, his dog and beloved companion.

Benny was a 1972 graduate of Gadsden High School and a 1976 graduate of Auburn University¬¬. He was a certified Professional Engineer and a life member of the Auburn Alumni Association. He recently retired from a much loved, long career as a NASA Engineer. His passions were his daughter, Julie, his dog, Oliver, his career and co-workers, and his Auburn Tigers. Benny’s happiest times were spent enjoying many fun times with family and friends, God’s nature and beauty, and fishing at the family home at Lake Weiss.

Visitation will be held today, February 10, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., with services following at 3:30 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home in Gadsden, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Stroke Association, a division of the American Heart Association at americanheart.org or 1-888-4-STROKE.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Keener, Max Treadaway, Jeremy Treadaway, Matthew Treadaway, Lamar Canada and Bill Putnam.
