

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Bellevue Baptist Church for Bessie Spinks Neeley Satterfield, 96, who passed away Monday, September 30, 2013. Rev. Philip Elliott will officiate. Burial will be at Steele Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mrs. Satterfield was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church for over 40 years, where she was a faithful member of the Ladies Sunday School Class. She loved Southern Gospel Music and enjoyed attending gospel singing conventions.
She is preceded in death by her husbands: Amos Neeley, and Frank Satterfield; son, Fred Neeley; daughter, Kitty Miner; step-daughter, Margaret Davis; grandson, Anthony Glenn Farmer; sisters: Mary Ruple, Willie Clements, and Johnnie Ashley.
She is survived by her children: Brenda Farmer, and Frankie Self; step-daughters: Evelyn Koski, and Jean Nappi, granddaughters: Edwina (Troy) Bryant, Jana Barnard, and Tiffany Barnard; great-grandchildren: Dillon Leslie, Joshua Madden, and Maleigha Barnard; brother and sisters: James Spinks, Zaddie Johnson, and Margaret Spinks; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family extends a special thanks to Amedysis Hospice staff: Kathy, Ashley, Kelly, Bobbie, Amanda, and Teia.
The family will accept friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church, prior to the service.
