Betty was born on August 1, 1961 in Detroit, Michigan and resided in Altoona, AL. She worked at Detroit Metro Airport Marriot Hotel where she received several awards. Betty was a wife, mother, sister and grandma who dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed life, loved to laugh and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Thomas; father, Curtis P. Owens; mother, Mary Louise Andies and step mother, Dorothy Trudell.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Kristina Taylor and Danielle Owens McDowell; grandchildren, Jordan, Allyson, Hayden Thomas, Michael McDowell, Ethan and Savannah Taylor; brothers, Ronald and Ray Owens; and sister, Debby Owens Deberry and a host of nieces and nephews.
