He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Dunson; father, Robert Townsend; sisters, Peggy Clark and Betty Jones; and brother, Bobby Townsend.
Billy is survived by his brother, Mike Townsend; sister, Phyllis Scott; nephews, Windell (Amy) Clark, Cody Townsend, and Tyler Townsend; niece, Becca Hubbard; great-niece, Katelyn Clark; great-nephews, Dagan Clark, Maddox Woods and Macray Townsend; and aunt, Ann Ogletree.
