Bobbie J. Gladden

Funeral Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2015, at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Bobbie J. Gladden, 79, of Gadsden who passed away Friday, July 10, 2015. Rev. Harold Daugherty will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.

Mrs. Gladden was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County. She attended Tabor Church of God.

She was an avid gardner, enjoyed reading and was a wonderful cook. She was a dedicated mother and made a wonderful home for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Roy W. Gladden, parents, Ollie Milam and Jack Milam and Amos Daugherty, brothers, Lewis Milam and Paul Daugherty.

She is survived by her children, Donna (Benny) Staton; Charles (Janie) Gladden; Jan (Wayne) Jones; and Tammie Gladden, grandchildren, Chasity Gibbs; Marc (Laurie) Talbott; Brandon Talbott; Kristi (Brad) Kerr; Karli Gladden; Josh and Emily Vest, great grandchildren, Chloe and Crimson Gibbs; brother, Rev. Harold Daugherty, sisters, Jackie Bone; Kathy (Rick) Sanders, special sister-in-law, Martha Daugherty; special caregiver, Jennifer Hunter, special pets, Prissy and Daisy; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Marc and Brandon Talbott; Josh Vest; Brad Kerr; Dewayne Boyd; and Rick Sanders.

The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff at Gentiva Hospice.

Visitation will be Monday from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
