Brenda McElroy Ginder

Brenda McElroy Ginder, 71, of Silver Lakes, Glencoe, passed away October 16, 2012 of congestive heart failure. Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Friday October 19, 2012 at 12:00 pm preceeded with visitation from 10:30 - 12:00. The Reverend Father E. Gray Bean, Pastor, will be officiating with Father James Macey, of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Jacksonville, co-officiating. Following the Funeral Mass, Mrs. Ginder will be buried at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, GA.

Brenda was born January 26, 1941 in Decatur, AL and is survived by her husband of 45 years, Don B. Ginder, sister Donna M. Payne, Gadsden, daughters Christina L. Bartlett, Peachtree City, GA and Susan J. Chaney (John), Concord, NC. Brenda had seven grandchildren, Joseph, Michael, William, Peter, Mary Jean, Regina Chaney and Zoe Bartlett. Also, niece and nephew, Brandi and Scott Payne.

Brenda graduated from Gadsden High School in 1959 and attended Auburn University. She was a charter member of the Gadsden Rose Society and an Alabama Master Gardener.
