Carl Hyfield

Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Carl Hyfield, 82, who went to be with Jesus Wednesday, March 12, 2014. Bro. Jerry Owens and Bro. Wayne Milam will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Altoona, AL. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mr. Hyfield was preceded in death by his father, G.W. Hyfield; mother, Pearl Hyfield; son, Michael Hyfield; and sister, Betty Jean.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara Martin Hyfield; daughter, Karen (Hoyt) Payne; grandchildren, Kerri (James) Gilbreath, Bryan Neil Stanfield, Melanie Ashley, and Dustin (Sage) Hyfield; great-grandchildren, Shawn, Jordan, Cameron, Keira, Cody, and Briana; great-great-grandchildren, Soren and Kylan; sisters, Lourine (Donald) Dutt, and Frances Elkins; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Building Fund.

Special thanks to family and friends for their love, support, help, and prayers; and to Alacare Hospice of Oneonta for the great care they provided.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 11:00-12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
