Caroline Frances England Connally

Caroline Frances England Connally died on March 31, 2023, at her home. Caroline was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, attending Samford University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she received bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She was employed for many years by the Etowah County Board of Education. Caroline took great joy in her family, her church, and her dear friends.

Mrs. Connally was preceded in death by her firstborn son, John Michael Connally; her brother, John Alfred England, Jr.; and her parents. She is survived by her husband, Ben Connally; sons, Mark Benjamin (Brigitte) Connally, Joel Davidson (Amy) Connally, Sr.; grandchildren, Jessica Ann, Amy Caroline, Michael William, Joel Davidson, Angela Maria, and Lauren Margaret Connally; and sister, Margaret England (Rodger) Armbrester.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Rainbow Presbyterian Church, preceded by a private burial. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Rainbow Presbyterian Church or to a favorite charity.

The Connally family extends their gratitude to Pam, Faye, Shawndra, LuAnne, Teresa, and Sha-lee, who faithfully cared for Caroline.
