

Carolyn Wallace Owens (89), a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025. She was born on June 09, 1935, in Piedmont, Alabama, and dedicated her life to her faith, family, and community. She was proud of her church and her family and lived a life of strength and service.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved parents, J.T. and Julia Wallace; her sister, Dean Elsberry; her granddaughter, Allison Townsel; her great-grandson, John Sheridan; and her son-in-law, Randy Snell.
She is survived by her daughters, Julia Owens and Jacqueline Snell; her granddaughters, Melissa (Jamie) Holt, Mallorie (Cody) Belyeu, and Brittany Townsel; her great-grandchildren, Mary and Kaitie Dillinger, Haley (Malachi) Bollman, Kaitlyn, Brylee, and Rylan Holt, and Oliver and Aiden Belyeu; and her great-great-grandsons, Liam and Micah Bollman. She is also survived by her brother, Rev. James O. (Sarah) Wallace, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Carolyn was a woman of deep faith and a charter member of Bethel United Baptist Church, established in 1949. She remained a loyal and dedicated member for 76 years. Carolyn was employed at IGA Food Liner, Martin's, Behr's, Kmart, and MeadowBrook Preschool and Daycare.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 10 am until 11 am at Collier-Butler Funeral Home, with a service to honor her life to follow at 11:00 am. Her brother, Reverend James O. Wallace, will officiate.
