Mr. Charles Wayne Culver, 81, Gadsden, Al went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 12, 2020. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2020 at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel with Rev. Max Roden officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
Mr. Culver was a graduate of Ft. Payne County High School. He had a passion for basketball, and played in his younger years. He was a member of East Gadsden Baptist Church, where he served as a door greeter and enjoyed it very much. Mr. Culver was a veteran of the U S Navy and served during the Vietnam Era.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Wayne Culver and Naomia Lee Miller Culver and an infant sister.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Mrs. Dorothy Jean Culver; God Child and his family, Clint Story, Casey Story, Tom Story, Eli Story and Lucian Story.
The family extends special thanks to the members of East Gadsden Baptist Church and all personal friends.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to East Gadsden Baptist Church, 211 Sixth Street, Gadsden, AL 35903. No green plants please.
