Charles Mickey Harden

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mickey Harden, 62, of Gadsden, who passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mr. Harden was a man of few words. He never met a stranger and was loved by everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Willa Dean Tousey; and daughter, Tanja Lorraine Hanson.

He leaves behind: his wife, Mary Jo Harden; daughter, Danielle Thomas; granddaughter, Tasha Hanson; grandson, Gavin Filmore; sons Dustin (Katie) Davenport, Barry (Jennifer) Horne; and Garry Wayne (Kim) Horne; grandchildren: Austin Clay, Taylor Horne, Hannah Adams, Abbie Alford, Braden White, Layton Horne, Kadyn Howell, Hallee Horne, Mary Kathryn Davenport, Griff Davenport, Ally Cook, and “Baby Horne”; mother-in-law, Lottie Stewart; brother-in-law, Henry (Cyndi) Fountain; brothers and sisters: Glenda (Buddy) Bowen, Brenda, Rita, Gene, and James; aunt, Sue Bolding; uncle, Don Harden; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and special friend, Donnie (Pam) Lancaster.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Fellow softball players, Simpson & Company and co-workers, and all of the many friends throughout the years of his life.

The family will accept friends from 5:00-7:00 Friday, July 19, 2013 at the funeral home.
