Charles Edward Johnson

Charles E. Johnson, age 65, of Coats Bend Community, Gadsden, Alabama passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025 after an extended illness. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Pastor Tommy Marshall will officiate with Honorary Officiant Harold O’Neal. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery.

Charles was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles R. and Kathleen Johnson, and brothers-in-law Charles Foster and Hoyt McCain.

Charles is survived by his sisters, Linda Foster, Mary McCain, Debra Kerr and Joannie Patterson; brothers-in-law, Bradley Kerr, Mark Patterson; numerous nieces and nephews; his very special fur babies, George and Cissy; special friends, Bobby Autwell, Kathy Campbell, Mama Fay, Scarlett, Jodie and Amanda Daniels.

Pallbearers will be Jason McCain, Timothy McCain, Bradley Kerr, Jacob Simmons, Aidan Vaughn and Mark Kilgro.

The family will accept friends for visitation on Sunday, June 29, 2025 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
