M. Wisdom served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and loved his country and family more than anything.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sanford Wisdom; mother, Virgie Wisdom; brother, Edward Wisdom; sister, Shirley Wisdom; and son, Jason Wisdom.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Wisdom; son, Ryan Gallagher; daughter, Rachel (Tyler) Cline; granddaughters, Alyssa and Elizabeth Cline; nephews, Robert (Michelle) Wisdom; Timothy (Karah) Wisdom; Thomas (Tasha) Wisdom and Robert J. (Christine) Wisdom; niece, Kathynn Wisdom; brother, Jim (Linda) Wisdom and a host of extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.

Special thanks is extended to the staff at Gadsden Regional Medical Center who was there for him.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Thursday prior to the funeral home.
