Christopher D. Boyd

Chris D. Boyd, 51, of Southside, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Williams Southside Cemetery. Rev. Larry Fuhrman will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Chris was a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School. He had a deep love for the outdoors and cherished spending time with his friends. Chris especially enjoyed working on projects in his workshop and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those around him. His kindness, generosity, and easygoing spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Garry Boyd; and his grandparents, Boyd and Loyce McLendon, Curtis Boyd, and Frances Boyd.

Chris is survived by his loving mother, Barbara Boyd; his brother, Kevin Boyd (Kendra); nieces, Kourtney Ford (James) and Kaci Boyd; and nephew, Lexon Mayo (Chelsea). He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Pallbearers will be Dennis McLendon, Chris Moulds, Chris Bellamy, Kevin Boyd, Jason Hatley, and Lexon Mayo.
