Christopher Michael Harris

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Christopher Michael Harris, 41, of Hokes Bluff, who passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013. Rev. Charles Israel will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mr. Harris was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County. He attended Hokes Bluff and Glencoe High Schools. Chris enjoyed fishing and cleaning up cars. He was loving, kind and outgoing, and never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: J.E. and Mamie Nichols, and Ray and Edna Harris.

Chris leaves behind, his parents: Betty and Kenneth Harris; sister, Kendra Harris; brother, Todd (Chylia) Harris; nieces and nephews: Alexis “Nerd” Harris, Jordan Harris, Hannah Harris, Abby Harris, and Gracie Harris; great-niece, Hayden Bearden; a host of aunts and uncles, and special friends, Denny and Katherine Campbell.

Pallbearers will be: Alan Farley, Randall Harris, Tim Harris, Jordan Harris, Denny Campbell, and Joey Nichols.

Honorary pallbearers will be all personal friends.

Special thanks to the Lincoln Police Department, Coroner Saddix Murphy, and Chris’ special neighbors.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the funeral home.
