I am a Gadsden native. About 30 years ago I had the privilege of meeting David Lowi at his office, where we talked about our military service, our families and life in general. As a testament to his winning personality, we had never before met and yet I still recall him with fondness after all this time.  RIP

I have learned of the loss of Davis, and I am deeply saddened.  I looked forward each year to see David and chatting briefly with him at the Gold Tiger Reunion in June of each year.  David was a highly respected individual, and his accomplishments during his long life are very noteworthy. It is my hope and my prayer that countless fond memories of him will help serve as a comfort to all members of the family at this time.

Dear Leslie and Grandson David,
We had the privilege of getting to know David as next door neighbors at Destin since 1995, and serving on the Condo Board.  We have missed him these last years! Visiting with Dave always made out stays there more fun!  Great conversations!   Wish we had know Dave better. Our deepest condolences to you, and all the family.

Dear Ted and family,
was so saddened to learn of the passing of David.  The last time I had a chance to talk with him was at the Gadsden High School reunion three years ago.  I remember him with such fondness as I do the Lowi family. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

David was a really, really nice guy. Gadsden will miss him. Not many like him come along.

I mourn the loss of David Lowi. I remember him as great military leader, as a wonderful neighbor, and a true friend. COL (ret) Lowi was a true American hero, respected by his Soldiers, that loved his years of service to his country.

Leslie, I am so sorry to read of your dad's death. You and your family are in my prayers.

We mourn the passing of one of the really great guys and a wonderful friend. Our condolences to all his family and many friends.

David Lowi was one of a kind, a real mensch! I loved him and will miss him as will all his family and many friends.

I'm saddened to learn of David's passing. As I think of David, I recall a very strong and warm man with integrity. The Lowi family was and is a pillar of not only the Jewish community  but Gadsden for many, many years. My thoughts and prayers are with Jan, Betty, Leslie and the entire Lowi family.

Leslie, so sorry to hear about David's passing. I hadn't seen him in a long time, and when I did, years ago, we talked about Mark and our friendship. Prayers are lifted to you and your family.
