Dolly Delight Brannon

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2014, at Collier-Butler Chapel for our loving mother, grandmother and friend to everyone she met, Dolly Delight Brannon, age 85, Rainbow City who passed away Friday, February 28, 2014. Pastor Stan Davidson will be officiating services. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Directing.

Mrs. Brannon was a native of Chattanooga, TN and a resident of Rainbow City since 1972. She was a long standing member of First Presbyterian Church Gadsden and attended Church On The Rock. She has served as President of Jaycettes, President of PTA, President of the Women in the church, a member of the Southern Ladies Christian Women and a member of the Wildhaven Garden Club.

Mrs. Brannon was preceded in death by her husband, Buford W. Brannon, Parents, Charlie A. Tucker and Isabell Beck Tucker and Brother, Charlie Tucker, Jr.

She is survived by her children; Al C. Brannon and wife Leslie, Signal Mountain, TN, Joy B. McCartney, Gadsden and Jim Brannon and wife Sharon, Southside, grandchildren, Sean Brannon and wife Pam, Paul Brannon, Frances Delight McCartney, Natalie McCartney Colegrove and husband, Samuel, Michael Bailey McCartney, Daniel Tucker Brannon, William James Brannon, Katherine Rose Brannon and great grandchildren; Parker Byrd, Tucker Brannon and forthcoming Michael David Colegrove . Several Nieces and Nephews

Pallbearers will be Daniel Brannon, Will Brannon, Michael Bailey McCartney, Sean Brannon, Samuel Colegrove, Shawn Nesbitt.

Honorary Pallbearers will be; CSM Ken Spraggins, Chico, Tim Ware, Greg Merren, Cliff Daughery and Glenn Williams.

Special thanks to caregivers, Gloria, Roxie and Doris.

The family extends a gratitude to Jerry Paul, Lisa D., Alicia, Brook, Lisa P., Clara, Jennifer, Megan and all of the other compassionate staff and employees of Oak Landing Assisted Living, Attalla, AL.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.
