

born July 10, 1957 alongside his identical twin brother, Ronald (Ronnie) Bush whom preceded
him in death only months before. The Bush twins were lifelong residents of Gadsden, AL. Mr.
Bush was an honor student of the 1975 graduating class of Emma Sansom High School and was a
member of the Christian Athletics Association. He was a talented athletic in football and baseball
and was a member of the 1973 4A State Championship baseball team. Before his career began,
he was a walk-on baseball player at Gadsden State Junior College. He was most notably
remembered playing with the East Gadsden Dodgers for several years and was honored to be a
leader on their 1978 NBC World Series Champion Team in Wichita, KS. His love and passion for
baseball continued throughout his life as an avid Braves fan along with his involvement in youth
baseball. In addition to baseball, he loved attending high school wresting events and supporting
his son, Brant who was a talented wrestler at Southside High School.
Mr. Bush was employed through the apprenticeship program for skilled laborers at Goodyear
Tire and Rubber Company at the age of 19. He remained a loyal and happy employee until the
plant’s closing with 43 years of service.
He was preceded in death by parents, Carl Bush and Joyce Pogue along with his twin brother,
Ronald Bush. Survivors include his two sons, Jared and Brantley Bush; brothers Wayne Bush,
Wade (Paula) Bush, and Johnny Brown; sister Patsy Brown; and nieces, nephews and
grandchildren.
Mr. Bush was a most caring, giving, selfless and loving family man and provider. He was a devoted
father, husband and grandfather for much of his time here on earth. His immediate family will
hold a private celebration of his life at a later date.
