Private family parlor service for Dorothy Emylee Beard Jones, age 85, who passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011, will be Tuesday at Collier- Butler Funeral Home. The Rev. Eric Reaves will officiate with burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Jones was a member of First United Methodist Church of Rainbow City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gillwyeth and Helen Beard, and brother, Dr. Frank Beard.
Mrs. Jones is survived by two daughters, Rebecca (Robert) Maddock, Portland, Oregon, and Helen Stanford, Rainbow City; grandchildren, Christopher Stanford of Mobile, Alabama, Denise Maddock of Portland, Oregon, and Keith Maddock of San Francisco, California; sister, Jean Williams of Attalla; several nieces and one nephew.
Special recognition and sincere appreciation is given to the loving staff of Cherokee County Health and Rehab.
