Dorothy Mae Mince, 76, of Gadsden, AL, entered into Heaven on Thursday, December 9, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Collier-Butler Chapel. Burial will follow at Union Hill Cemetery in Gadsden, AL. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Etowah County and graduated from Emma Samson High School. She worked many years in the accounting field, but in her spare time she enjoyed sewing and gardening. She always had kind words and her favorite quote was “The Golden Rule”.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Derwin Mince; parents, Emmitt and Bertie Mae Barnard; brothers, Gene Barnard and Wiley Barnard.
Survivors left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Penny Ondo; son, Jeffrey Mince; grandson, Eric Ondo; brother Clifford Barnard; twin sister Barbara Hale; cousins Becky Gray and Patsy Perry (who were like sisters to her); along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
