Funeral Service will be Wednesday June 20, at 11 AM at Collier Butler Chapel for Jewel Sweeney Fann, age 95, of Gadsden, who went to be with the Lord on Friday June 15, 2018. Rev. Lauil Thompson will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier Butler Funeral Home will direct services.
Mrs. Fann was a longtime resident of Gadsden. She was a member of Alabama City Church of God.
Jewel's lifelong loves were God, family, and music. She was known by those closest to her as having a beautiful singing voice.
She is survived by her children Sandra Young of Southside and Rick Fann (Lynda) of Steele; Grandchildren Tony Young (Bernedette) of Huntsville, AL, Jody Young (Mandy) of Southside, Rheagan Fann Kelley (Craig) of Henderson, NV; 6 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Mary Etta Sweeney and Grandson Zachary Fann.
Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 AM until the hour of service.
The family would like to express their Special thanks to Alacare Hospice, the nurses and staff of Gadsden Health Care .
In Lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
