IN THE CARE OF
Collier-Butler Funeral Home
The sisters of Edward Artice (Art) Frazier invite you to celebrate his life Saturday, 15 June in the Chapel at Collier Butler Funeral Home. There will be visitation from 11am followed by a brief service at 1pm. Regina Pritchard and Carla Cooper (nee Frazier) are inviting those who knew their brother to share their memories on this website, or at the service. We would like the occasion to be casual and uplifting, so please wear casual clothes and, if you like, share "an Art story" (we all have a good one).
Art, who passed away on Friday 7 June, touched so many lives with his child-like innocence and love of people and life. His strong faith in God and love for Jesus was nurtured by his parents and over many years as he attended 12th Street Baptist Church. Going to church was one of his greatest joys.
Art was born in Gadsden on August 22, 1958 to Carl Howard Frazier and Mary Ellen Tuck Frazier. He was their first child followed by his sister Carla, who lives in England and his youngest sister Regina, who resides in Colorado. Art is survived by his two sisters, brothers-in-laws Chris Pritchard and Marc Cooper, and niece and nephew Maddi and Nate Pritchard.
Art attended the Smeltzer Educational Center in Gadsden since the mid 1980s and resided at the Hope Home on Litchfield Avenue after his mother passed away in November 2000. Carla and Regina would like to thank all the staff at Hope Homes, the Smeltzer Center, his Sunday School at Street Baptist Church, and Dr. Brunson's team at Legacy Dental for loving him and being there for him for so many years. A special thank you to the CCU team at Gadsden Regional Center for the great care and kindness shown to Art and the Hope Homes staff in Art's last week of life.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hope Homes, 106 N. 6th St., Gadsden, AL 35901.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.collier-butler.com for the Frazier family.
