Regina, I was sorry to hear about your brother. I know the memories of him will bring joy. 

You know Art has always been an angel. The first weekend I worked with him, he was the sweetest and most helpful person, with a Great Smile. He loved to go to church. He always sat in the front smiling the whole way there. Art I will miss you and I know you’re smiling in heaven.  My prayers and thoughts are with his family and friends. 

I play the piano and sing every Sunday with the Myrick Sunday School Class that Art faithfully attended. It broke my heart when I learned he had passed away. Art was such a sweet, kind, loving man. I will always remember his sweet smile! Every Sunday he would say, We're praying for you!" and I would always tell him that I prayed for them. Each Sunday I always gave him a hug, as I did them all, and told them I loved them. He was always so proud when his sisters visited the class with him! The last Sunday I saw him, he reminded me his birthday was coming up soon! He held a special place in my heart and I know I will see him again one day in Heaven!

I worked with Art at Hope Homes around 2005 or 2006, at his home on Litchefield Ave. I only worked with him for a few months but during that time Art was always so helpful. He was very sweet and always tried to look out the other gentlemen in the home. He definitely be missed! 



I work at the some he attended and was blessed to get to know him for the past year, he would love to pick at me when I came in his classroom, that is my best memory him laughing at me. He will be missed 

Oh my Arty Party, how I’m going to miss you here on earth. I take comfort in knowing I will see you again one day!  I was blessed to be able to be both your trainer and then your Case Manager. Every time I was around you, you’d say something that would make me laugh or smile! I fondly remember him being so proud of what he’d bring for lunch and I’d pretend He bought it for me....he would say  “oh no old lady, that’s mine”! Then we’d both laugh and I’d say “okay old man”! Art had such an innocence about him and he was so friendly to everyone.  I loved my visits with him, he would just have me rolling at the things he’d say and stories he’d tell.  One of my favorite things though is when I’d make my visit to his group home, he’d make me promise every time that when his sister came to visit, that I’d go out to eat and shopping with them. He certainly had a special place in my heart and I am blessed to have been able to know him. 

I AM GOING TO MISS MY BUDDY HE WOULD ALWAYS ASK ME WHEN YOU GONE COME WORK WITH US I WOULD ALWAYS SAY WHEN THEY TELL ME TOO. I REMEMBER TAKING HIM AND ANOTHER CLIENT TO THE FAIR HE HAD SUCH A GOOD TIME I WILL MEVER FORGET THAT BIG OLD SMILE AND THE LOVE AND HE HAD FOR HIS SISTER'S I LOVED ART AND MY HEART IS HEAVY BECAUSE I WAS WITH HIM MEMORIAL DAY. WE LAUGHED AND HAD A GOOD TIME
 REST IN HEAVEN MY BUDDY YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MISSED.

I WORK FOR HOPE HOMES MY MEMORIES OF ART WAS  HE WOULD JUST LITE UP WHEN HE SEEN ME COMING WITH THAT BABY LIKE LOOK ON HIS FACE HE WOULD ALWAYS SAY HI BEVERLY AND GRAB MY HAND AND ALWAY ASK ME TO COME WORK FOR HIS HOUSE HE WAS A PRECIOUS MAN  AND WILL BE TRULY MISSED  HE WOULD ALWAYS TALK ABOUT SISTER HE LOVE HIS FAMILY AND THEY LOVED HIM, REST ON MY FRIEND REST IN HEAVEN,  I PRAY THAT HIS FAMILY'S CONTINUED TO HAVE PEACE,  

I first met Art in 2004, when I started work at the Smeltzer Center. It didn't take long to learn that if he ever started a story with "My daddy..." you wanted to be sure to hear the end of it! Art was always a joker, which meant we usually got in trouble if we went off together. I will truly miss picking with him, which ended with him either saying, "I'm gonna get your goat," or, "oh yeah? I'm gonna tell my sister on you!" He was always quick to tell me I was, "too old to cut the mustard anymore." One of my favorite memories with Art was when we took him and some of his friends to stay at the cabin at Noccalula Falls. He was sure to tell me he was going to tell Debra I made his sugar high because of all the food we cooked on the grill. Another fond memory is from leaving Dr. Brewer's office. I complained about the heat and asked him why it was so hot in the car. In the honest way only Art could answer, he replied, "I guess that's just how God wants it to be." Heaven truly gained an angel when Art left us. I'm glad to know I haven't lost Art, he just got to go home before me. 

This most fabulous man stole my heart and all those who knew him. He would always tease me and tell me "I am going to get your goat" and then give me that Frazier laugh. Thank you Mr. Frazier for showing me the beauty in life and all that you unknowingly taught me. I love you and always will to heaven and back as this man is definitely sitting at the right hand of God. I will hopefully see you again. My heart hurts, really hurts.
