

Elizabeth Holman Chandler, age 51, passed away on August 21, 2026. A proud 1993 graduate of Southside High School, Elizabeth went on to further her education by graduating from Gadsden State Nursing School.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Ray and Ann (Jacqueline) Holman, as well as her beloved brothers, Jimmy Holman and Kevin Holman.
Elizabeth’s beautiful legacy and memory will live on through her devoted husband, Chris Chandler; her cherished daughters, Savannah (Dalton) McClellan and Makenzie (Garrett) Hull; her beloved step-children, Jade Firestone, Hunter (Madison) Chandler, and Matthew Chandler; and her precious grandchildren, Harper McClellan, Baker McClellan, Delilah Chandler, Azalea Firestone, and baby Rowan Hull, who is eagerly expected to join the family on October 15, 2026. She is also deeply missed by her surviving siblings, Deborah Sullivan and Brian Holman, along with many extended family members and friends.
The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated ICU staff at Riverview Regional Medical Center, as well as Dr. Khalil and the care team at the UAB O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Additionally, the family is profoundly thankful to the many friends, loved ones, and community members who surrounded Elizabeth and her family with steadfast prayers, generous donations, and unwavering support during her courageous journey. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
