

Jay grew up in Alabama City and graduated from Emma Sansom High School. She was beautiful, inside and out, and never met a stranger. She loved to play cards and exercise at the Downtown Activity Center and the Elliott Center. Jay especially loved the dances on Friday nights at the Downtown Activity Center. She attended her last dance on September 10.
Jay worked at G. C. Murphy Company and then as a cashier at Warehouse Groceries, Food Max, and Food World for many years.
Jay was preceded in death by her husband John Willis, her sons, Ray, Kip and Dennis Willis; her parents Martie and Etta Corbin; and her siblings Clifton Corbin and Nellie Fleming.
Jay is survived by her son Larry Willis (Sheila), daughters-in-law Kathy Willis and Brenda Robertson (Larry); grandsons Nathan and Lee Willis; granddaughter Kristy Torres (Glenn); great-grandsons Luke and Jase Willis and William Torres and great granddaughter Emmalyn Torres.
Pallbearers will be Mark Richey, Tim Richey, Nathan Willis, Matthew Barksdale, Josh Beasley, and Johnny Beasley.
Honorary pallbearers are Luke and Jase Willis, Larry Robertson, and her best friend for many, many years Helen Small.
The families would like to thank Dr. Thomas Harper, Dr. G. Patel, Dr. Crabtree, Dr. Shah, and nurse Lisa from Riverview ICU for your love and concern for Jay.
The funeral service will be at Collier Butler Funeral Home on Sunday, October 24 at 12:30. The Reverend John Richey will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to the service. Burial will be at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church cemetery.
