Ellen Christine Norris

Graveside Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Rainbow Memorial Gardens for Mrs. Ellen Christine “Nan” Norris, 78, Gadsden passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014. Rev. L. Dale Butler will officiate. . Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Directing.

Mrs. Norris was born in Robinsville, NC on January 27, 1936. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family and talking about her grandchildren and great grandchildren, farming, puzzles, watching Alabama football, and most of all visiting her home place “The Great Smoky Mountains.”

In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lamar E. Norris and her son David L. Charlton, Jr.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Lisa (Jamie) Nichols, Lee Charlton, April (Clifton) Gross, Ashley (Anthony) McMath, Chase Charlton, Aubrey Charlton and great grandchildren, Austin Whittemore, Dakota Willis, Josh Willis, Jacob Willis, Mikayla Willis, Justin Nichols, Savanna Charlton, also a special loved one Charlotte (Ernie) Gamblin and close friends, James Franklin, Rodney Clark and all Rainbow City Martins Employees, her cat son and her neighbor Janice.

Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home from 12 pm until 2 pm.
