Emily Joleen Holloway will be celebrated Monday October 20th, at 2PM at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Visitation starts at 12PM. She will be laid to rest beside her mother, Toni Ball, at Rainbow Memorial Gardens after the service.
Emily Joleen went home Thursday, October 16th. Her light will continue to shine brightly through her sons, Richard Holloway, Jr., and Ethan Holloway. She always knew she would be a wonderful mother, and her husband, Richard Holloway, Sr. helped that dream come true. Emily and her husband, Richard, were a powerful couple that supported each other through times most could not imagine. Emily loved being a stay-at-home mom, taking care of her husband and boys. She made sure they all knew about God, His salvation, grace, forgiveness, and unconditional love that only He can give. Emily’s heart was so full of love, she was highly intelligent and taught her family how to be all those things through her example. Her spirit will live forever through her boys. Emily had a difficult childhood, and most of her adult life was filled with chaos that kept her mental illness at the forefront. She would not want anyone to feel sorry for her, and thought she could overcome all her anxiety, anger, frustration, fear, abandonment issues, and chronic illnesses on her own. The last few years, her mind was relentlessly tearing her apart. Due to such relentless thoughts, she lost herself to all the things her mind told her she was, instead of believing who she truly was. Her husband found the prayer of transformation in a drawer close to Emily’s bed. She would want to use that as a vessel to bring those suffering from the same mental illnesses to know there is hope in Jesus.
The Prayer of Transformation
Lord Jesus, I am your witness. I long to be like you.
I receive your righteousness and release my sinfulness.
I receive your wholeness and release my brokenness.
I receive your fullness and release my emptiness.
I receive your peace and release my anxiety.
I receive your joy and release my despair.
I receive your healing and release my sickness.
I receive your love and release my selfishness.
Come, Holy Spirit, transform my heart, mind, soul, and strength so that my consecration becomes your demonstration; that our lives become your sanctuary. For the glory of God our Father, amen.
