Ernestine Bobo Flanagan

Ernestine retired from Alabama City Bank after 23 years of service. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. She was also very active in civic clubs and was a lifelong member of The Chamber of Commerce in Gadsden, AL. In 1945 Ernestine married William “Bill” Augustus Bobo who passed away in 1982. She was a widow for 11 years then met George Owen Flanagan. They married in April 13, 1993. George died January 17, 2002.

Mrs. Flanagan is survived by her two daughters, Lynda (John) Carter, Myrna (Phillip) Hodges; grandchildren, Gary (Lisa) Carter, Gayle (John) Stephenson, Phillip (Lisa) Hodges Jr., Lindsay Hodges, Katherine Hodges; great grandchildren, Ansley, Megan, Alyssa, Garrett, Taylor, Ethan, Harper; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.

The funeral service will be 12:30 PM, Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Collier- Butler Funeral Home. The family will begin to accept friends at 11:30 AM. Collier- Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bellevue Baptist Church.
